The Georgia Composting Council has five standing committees.  Learn more about the different committees and become involved today.

Membership

Recruits new and retain existing members, solicits nominations, and prepare the ballot for Board elections.

Education/Communication

Creates and maintains effective communication standards, assists the organization and its membership to communicate effectively with one another, and increases marketing and communications links with other organizations, potential partners, and general public.

Programs and Events

Establishes and coordinates training, conferences, seminars, educational outreach events, and other meetings.

Advocacy

Works with policy makers, regulators and its members to advance legislation, policy, and funding that enhances opportunities to increase compost production and use in Georgia.

Non-Standing or Special Committees

Special committees limit its activities to the accomplishment of the task for which it was appointed.
